Hello,

So as the title says, I need to know... if it's worth upgrading to Vista yet.? I'm not trying to start any big disputes here at all. I simply want to know from all you current Vista users if it's worth it to ditch XP PRO yet and move forward...

I built my new rig 2 days ago, it is as follows:

Asus M2N-E Mobo
AMD Athlon 62 X2 5400+ EE (2.8GHZ, 65nm, 65W)
2GB (2 x 1GB Crucial DDR2 - 667MHZ RAM) <- Yeah I know, crap Ram
Sapphire Radeon HD 3870 512MB GDDR4 Single Slot, PCI-E 2.0
Corsair HX 520W Modular PSU
Seagate SATA2 160GB Hard Drive (Getting another HD in the very near future, most likely another Seagate SATA2, 500GB)
LG 20X DVD Burner with Lightscribe
Codegen ATX Gaming Case (Going to upgrade this very soon as it sucks, lol)

I am using this rig for gaming primarily but also for everyday productivity.. so that's the rig, and that's what I'm using it for, so hopefully that is enough info for a solid answer. I'm thinking about getting Vista Home Premium 32-bit.

Thanks in advance for your help..

I just figured since Vista has been out now for 2 years and has SP1 with SP2 on the way if it's worth "upgrading" yet or if it would be better just to wait for Windows 7 and see how it does...

If you're bumping the RAM it _might_ be an idea to look at Vista 64Bit, but if you aren't doing anything more with the rig then leave it as is if it does everything you need. Personally I found I get better performance on my 6000+ with XP than Vista.
