As I am trying to install my OS, everything runs smoothly until the Completing Installation screen after the first reboot. I once waited 45 min for it do 'something' to finish and it merely sits there frozen. I tried to google to solution and it has really not helped me any. The solution I did read is to get rid of my GPU and hook the monitor to my onboard graphics, but I do not have a proper connector for this. A poster said this might help due to drivers not being optimized, but im thinking my pc came w/ nothing on the HD so I see no reason why this would be the problem in the first place. Anywho, i really do not with to drop another 100$ trying to take this into Best Buy or some local pc shop for a solution ... so any ideas would be wonderful.

Thank You

That poster knows absolutely nothing about the board which doesn't have onboard video.

Unless a part or parts are DOA, it has to work. Unplug power cord, clear cmos for 10 mins, load bios default and enable AHCI in bios if there's no IDE devices.

There are 2 restarts during Vista install. One right after formatting hdd & copying files from dvd to hdd; another right after installing Vista. Then you enter some info like activation. Have you gotten there yet?
