Hi! I have Windows Vista Ultimate running on a MacBook (2.2 GHZ 4GB RAM) with BootCamp and the problem is when I use the battery Vista runs so slow.

Using CPU-Z I realised that the CPU (Intel Mobile Core 2 Duo T7500) is throttling from 2.2 GHZ (2194.7 multiplier x11) to 1.1 GHZ (1197.1 multiplier x6) and use to stay all time on 1.1 GHZ

This throttling issue remains when the laptop is plugged, but is this related with the slow performance when working on battery?
I have to say when I booted Vista on Safe Mode working on battery it performed without problems so it should be Vista or some software causing this.
I checked the programs starting up with Vista and I suspect the Boot Camp software and Apple Drivers can be doing this.

Hope you can help me with this because I'm on the move all time.

Thanks!

Throttling is normal behavior to preserve power

------------------------------ Which Chip? Well, it depends on which set of thieving b@stardz you choose to support: The ones who use insider trading to enrich themselves while running their company into the ground, or the ones who illegally pay vendors to not support the first group.

What is your power setting? The default that Vista uses on battery is to lock it into a low multiplier if you have it set to power saver, but it should throttle on demand if you change it to high performance or balanced mode.
