I'd love to set out some sort of supercomputing or high-performance computing, but I don't know very much about it. I just want something that can run large job applications ( science and math), and maybe even common applications (browsers and office).

It doesn't really matter which operating system that I use, I prefer Windows or Linux. This supercomputing or high-performance computing setup should be pretty stable and low maintenance.
