is winding down and I see tha the new Atom chip that Intel is producing won't run Vista supposedly, anybody know either way

I thought this is kind scary. Let's pick on EVGA (Any manufacturer will do.) check out their Video Card specs. They all carry the claim "built for Windows Vista."

Now The Motherboards however are another story. No such claims or even promises that Vista will work.

This is pretty much consistent will ALL motherboard manufacturers. My guess is that it's for legal reasons.

Interseting , observing what is in front of our eyes, maybe the real problem with Vista is the motherboards don't like it---

the question has been answered, MSFT will continue support until 2010-now figure that out
