Unsuspecting users may encounter problems mostly with security software. Microsoft is warning that other programs may be effected other than those listed. This does not look good for an already unpopular Vista OS.

If you read the actual MS alert you will see there are fixes from the software makers for all but two of those. You get them and you should be OK. Don't forget the SP is not out yet for the rest of us. This is why you won't see it until March. No big deal. Some of those problems actually put your PC into a reboot loop. Doesn't pay to be a early adopter. Though most were able to use system restore to get back up. Lesson learned. They were warned.
