I've just built the computer and formatted the partition. Windows XP says it has installed. I've reset it and told the HD to boot first, but all I get is "Verifying DMI Pool Data...... A Disk Read Error occurred". What is happening and how do I solve it?

Try running the diagnostic/repair software from the hdd mfg website off a floppy. You may have format and reinstall Windows. Also check this out

Hmmm... Try it again... Once I had the same kind of message while installing Windows XP... then I tried again and the message didn't appeared... Clean your CD and try it again...
