Hello,

recently I had to uninstall my Trend Micro Security Suite because it caused acronis true image 11 to hang and not work.
Once I installed a new virus program (AVG free), new firewall (Pctools) and Spam filter (Advanced Windowscare) Acronis was back to normal.

But then suddenly I couldn't open my paperport software anymore, ditto with A Reg cleaner from PC tools and most annoyingly my LCDC software that runs my fronpanel LCD display.

I tried uninstall and reinstall of above programs, clean the registry with CCleaner etc.
No luck....I think it a Windows Service issue and not the registry....

Any ideas, unfortuantely...I do not have a restore point that goes back to the right point and time.

Geez.. Good Luck! Perhaps it is a permissions issue. Vista is big on permissions. Take you non-working programs .exe file and right click to change the permissions.
