For XP this driver supports the Ti4200 AGP8. I use it without problems in with a similiar card.

Excuse me. Open the link I provided. Click on the 'Products Supported' tab. Look on the list of products supported...do you see your card listed there? You said your are using Win XP. As far as which motherboard you can use...just about any MB that supports AGP. Your AGP4 x 4 card will work on almost any AGP supported MB.

Most AGP8 motherboards support 4x as well. Some even support AGP1 as well as AGP2. If you have already chosen your MB and are not sure, fire off an email to the company's tech support and ask.

a little more info required about the ram.as im not a computer geek please help me out so that im not cheated.
i checked my mobo , the asus A7N266 VM user manual and it said that it supports max of 1 gb of memory ie ddr ram. i told the vendor that i need two strips of 512 ddr ram. he insirted one strip double sided ram into the slot and started the pc with atholon 2100 .the system started and the memory was reveal approx 480 ram. then he inserted the second double sided ram but this time the system failed to boot.the screen did not turn up.he then removed this double sided ram and inserted 512 single sided ram and the system booted. the total mem showed on the system was approx a little more that 900.
i wanted to know why the system did not start when the second double sided mem of 512 was inserted but it started when single sided ram of 512 was inserted.as the vendour who sold me these items is not a computer geek he was giving me all sort of fundas.
he told me to take the mem and start the pc and if the pc showed any problem he would take it back.so i got them.
this is what is written on bothe the ram modules
1) doulble sided ram.
there are 8 chips on one side and 8 on the other.
on each chip hynix is written. on one side on the first chip below hynix it is written 306AA A below it ,it is printed hy5du56822at-h in caps ofcourse. on the second ram chip it is written hynix 449AA and below it is written HY5DU56822BT-H

2)Single sided ram
there are only chips on one side.
on the first chip it is written hynix 421AG and below it is written HY5DU121622AT-H
on the second chip it is mentioned hynix 405AG and below it is mentioned HY5DU121622AT-H

my board supports pc2100 or pc 1600 ddr either 133 mhz or 100 mhz.
so the chips that the vendor gave me how do i recognize if they are pc1600 ie 200 or 2100 ie 266 and 133 MHZ or 100MHz looking at them and reading the info on the ram chips

secondly how do i recognize a ddr and a ddr2 ram and how do i interpret the size capacity and strength of a ddr2 ram chip
please help
thanks in advance

These are specific DIMMS Crucial recommends for your specific MB. The 512 MB Dimms are PC2700 which are backwards compatible to the PC2100 your MB requires. I don't think Crucial makes PC2100 anymore.

Anyway, sounds like someone just added a second DIMM to your exisiting setup. Your board is a Micro board with onboard graphics, so that may be why your total system RAM shows up as 900+ MB instead of the full 1024 MB. As long as your system is stable, your fine. Should your system become unstable and crash, you might pull the new DIMM out and stay with the hardware you started with that works fine.
