This has now been back to HP twice, and it is still exactly the same.
Anyone else have a hx4700, and updated to ROM 1.1?

That does not state if anyone had a problem, just where to find the original
ROM

You can find the original ROM 1.0 (SP29741) at this link
ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/softpaq/sp29501-30000/
It is about halfway down the list at about 25M in size. I avoided
flashing the new ROM 1.10 after hearing many negative responses. ROM 1.0
for me has no issues, if it aint broke.....!! I can be re flashed to the
older ROM.
