It all depends on what you want to do really. I've always been a PC gamer and a console gamer(haven't yet acquired a newgen console). The only way I see it is that each have their ups and downs. "Gaming Power", if you're referring to the performance of the hardware, isn't important here. Check out the games on each and see which platform seems more appealing based on that. Also, do you prefer gaming sitting up straight at your desk or reclined in a couch in front of a large screen? I personally prefer the couch even if I currently do a ton more PC.

To the people complaining about aiming with a controller: You are whining noobs who need to learn to use more than one platform. Have a good day :)

I agree.

Also, I'd like to add for the console's side, there's no installing or tinkering with settings when you get a game. Pop it in and it's good to go!

Malaga, this is really a matter of personal choice. The XBox 360 is designed for gaming with the use of a controller, voice, a slew of games, and lower price. Not to mention you can watch HD-DVD's with the add on drive. I actually have mine up for sale if you're interested, feel free to PM me. Some games will be exclusive or better on the PC, but to play them you'll need some solid hardware and an OS, and it'll end up being a good deal more expensive. If you already have a PC for internet, then consider going with an XBox 360. The 360 won't depreciate as rapidly or as much as your PC will. In 3 years a $3000 PC is worth less than $500, but a $400 XBox 360 will still be worth around $100 I'd guess. Again, let me know if you're interested in buying a used one for a good price.

Holy crap! I remember seeing that picture in High School 7 years ago.

Ahh the memories; Quake 2 + lazy administrator = awesome fun at lunchtime (and during any class with computers). :D

I went into PC World the other day (don't worry, I wasn't buying anything, merely trying out keyboards), and I instantly noticed the lack of AF and AA on the 360 compared to the PS3. I know the 360 supports 1080p now, but will they be sorting out AF and AA at any point? Just seemed a bit disappointing to me.

P.S. Please don't think I'm implying that you buy a PS3. That would just be ridiculous!!!

If its so great then why are you selling it? I used to have one myself and got rid of it. Its an overrated POS, especially next to a nice gaming rig. Lack of AF in titles and little to no AA along with low res textures. Ughhh.

I'm selling it to get the black one because it matches all my black hardware better. Also, because right now I need the cash. My GF has been between jobs for a few months while her union fights for her rights. :-) Her settlement lets her resign instead, she's got a new job already but the cash hasn't started flowing in yet. So to pay for our $800 a month apartment and a possible move soon (our lease is up as well and we're not sure we're extending it) I've been selling off some hardware and so on. I plan on getting the black XBox 360 along with an 8800 vid card and a new Opteron for my 939. That's the short version, need more there Mr. Inquisitive?
