Hi.

I don't know what I pressed or done while installing OTHER softwares but...

now my Windows Photo Gallery Viewer is messed up? Before (normally) I click on a thumbnail and the Windows Photo Gallery Viewer shows me my individual picture. The picture would be on a white bright background/canvass, which is normal/default. Like when you go to this forum and the texts/pictures are on a "white background".

NOW, for some odd reason, the background canvass of my Windows Photo Gallery Viewer is sort of yellowish beige/cream color and my pictures is not very crisp. Pictures look sort of dark because of the beige cream color background canvass. It looks like there are major contrast and color issues or a bad tint on all my pictures that I view. Even the free pictures that came with Vista.......any picture I look at IN the Windows Photo Gallery Viewer. My monitor screen, desktop, menus, titlebar, Excel window, Word window, etc., etc. are fine.

Anyone with this problem or know how to fix this in Vista/Ultimate????
Please help.

Thanks in advance.

Ha, ha, I'm answering my own problem.

But for anyone with the SAME issue as me with the "yellowish peachy tint" in Vista Photo Gallery.

The problem was caused when I updated the driver for my Samsung 204BW LCD thru the Microsoft Updated website. Crappy Microsoft Update Service POS. (Driver released around Jan. 2007). :x

Anyways,

1) I went to Control Panel>Device Manager>Doubleclick on SyncMaster 205BW/204BW under Monitor category.

2) Click on Driver>Roll Back Driver.

3) It rolled back to the first driver that was installed on my system (generic driver from Microsoft on Vista Ultimate DVD). My monitor was (again) listed as Default Monitor PnP something, something. Photo Gallery now DOESN'T have a yellowish peachy tint anymore.

4) I then popped in my Samsung installation CD (again) that came with the LCD monitor and installed the driver from that (The Driver Provider: Samsung, 7/7/2006, Version 2.0.0.0, Not digitally signed). Monitor now listed back to Samsung 205BW/204BW in Device Manager.

Everything is back to NORMAL! :D

So, if you have a Samsung 204BW or its relatives, DON'T install the new driver (dated around Jan 2007) from the Microsoft Vista Update website.
