I have found some commercial software from Axis for viewing the output
of their security cameras on a PDA but is there a generic 'wardriving'
version available from any source that will work with 'plain vanilla'
wireless cameras?

Happy to inform you I'm not a weirdo but responsible for security in
some outbuildings and I'd like to use the PDA for setup and testing
rather than having to lug a monitor and receiver around

Honest!

Thanks.

Axis comes with an SDK to develop DirectShow filters for rendering
videos. Now, because there's no such thing in PDAs, the same can be
achieved via 'streaming'.
