Is the notebook i want, my grandmother gave me 1500 spending limit, for a grad present, i figure this would be great for both work, and play( games and such).

Kinda worried about battery life, how long do you think the battery would last both in gaming, and in just doing word papers and research?

If you know of any notebooks in that price range that are better for my needs please let me know

As for the battery life question. I have experienced that gaming is very draining on the battery so would not recommend system intensive games while the system is unplugged. When I game on the notebook I have it plugged in, but if I had to guess 1-1.5 hours with heavy load.

During school I use my laptop to take notes, battery life can go from 3-5 hours depending on the brightness you have the screen set at. Can use fn button with the function buttons to decrease and increase this.

Hope some of that was helpful!
