I have been reading around quite a bit, but I'm still not clear on the differences between all of the versions of Vista.

Do all versions include DirectX 10? For a home PC with the primary purpose of playing games, which of these fit the bill?

Windows Vista Business
Windows Vista Enterprise
Windows Vista Home Premium
Windows Vista Home Basic
Windows Vista Ultimate

I would say Home Premium.

All the versions include DX10. For gaming you won't really see any difference. I'm not sure that Home Basic has Aero though.

Yep, Home Basic doesn't have Aero.

Ok sounds like the real question then is between Home Premium and Ultimate...

Mostly differences to do with mobility - are you going to be using this on a home PC or a mobile notebook.
