Ive bought a new computer with Windows Media Centre on it. I use Adobe Premiere Pro and when I come to save files as MPEG1 or MPEG2 or MPEG-VCD they are all greyed out. Similarly my Windows Media Player doesn't recognise them either. What's wrong and how can I correct this?

Have you select media player as default player? go to options> select player as default. reboot player to check it again. Otherwise you can get other divx converter software or interdvd 8 platinum from torrent. Window isn't the best player for conversion.

Use this:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=DE1491AC-0AB6-4990-943D-627E6ADE9FCB&displaylang=en

It will tell you what decoders are installed, whether they are compatible with MCE & WMP, and it will let you select which to use as the default player.
