If you live in the UK and have a bt home hub would you be able to tell me what type of router it is either G, B or N. If you dont could you tell me how can i find this out :?

Also could you tell me a good wireless card to use with it

I don't currently live in the UK but from what I remember about BT I doubt it would be an N router... From BT's perspective
- They are more expensive (2 to 3 times)
- The .11n specification in the IEEE is not final, and I doubt that they want to handle calls on interoperability issues.

My guess is that it's a .11g. The .11g is plentiful, inexpensive, and many laptops already have .11g cards built-in, double check before you buy a card. I have a Lenovo laptop and the wireless card is completely buried in its inner workings and the antenna is buried in the flip up screen. Look in the windows device manager for a wireless network card, or if you have an Intel Centrino brand sticker that meas you 'should' have a wireless card installed (it is one of the requirements to get the brand).

That said, I've seen several PCMCIA plug-in cards for around 20 - 30 pounds (with VAT). I've used Dlink and Netgear, they both worked fine, but just in case make sure the place you buy from has a return policy.
