The Fry's I go to near my house, I believe made a mistake stocking their 7600GT cards, they stocked these instead, look what I got instead hehe...
I bought it for $199.99 I know, I couldn't resist not buying it though.

I'll post some benchmarks later:

Lucky you. Their not even being exploited on E-tailer sites such as newegg yet. Nice find, have fun with it. Probably the only one on the forums with one :D

P.S.: I'm jealous. 8)

lol holy crap. Good stuff.

You should post benchmarks.

You could probably resell it for like $250 on Ebay just because it's not out yet.

I'll probably do the step-up program if I'm not satisfied with its performance.

Yeah, the ebay thing did cross my mind...I'll have to make an account though

People on ebay might not even believe him most likely. The card hasn't even been said on a exact release date. Unless he posted pictures like he did here, I think he get some major flaming on his part. I know I wouldn't have had I not seen it here or some other major forum website.

Still very jealous.

I understand the reason for your post, but I expect lame performance for $200. Step up will probably be a good idea.

Yeah I was actually waiting for the 8600GTS but I saw this, then I couldn't wait. It was like calling me..."hey Robert, you sissy boy, come and buy me."

Reply to Jxb1a

yeah I saw an 8600 at bestbuy the other day, I was just browsing through and laughing at the prices when I saw it, and had to do a double take.

How much was it at Best Buy?

EDIT ADDED: I forgot to state that the Drivers version from EVGA is 75.7

Did you take those pics with a cell phone? I can't tell if there is a power connector on that card. If so you may have an OC'er on your hands.

Reply to pauldh

no there isn't a power connector sorry. I used my 6.0MP Olympus FE-140 Camera, it's hard to keep my hands still so it came out a bit blurry

Ah, bummer. Let us know how it does anyway.

Well it goes without saying that this thing does have its bugs. Especially when there's really no way to get better driver support. CS:S runs oddly, it'll be smooth for like 3 seconds then get laggy like as if I were getting network lag, but my ping was only 60.

Reply to Jxb1a

cuz drivers dont support the card yet, on the 16, download the new drivers.

BUT WTF STOP COMPLAINING! DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE IN YOUR HANDS??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAa

don't remember but I believe it was a 8600 ultra, I looked on there website and couldn't find it so they must've gotten the stock in and just put it out a little too early or something

hehe I like complaining, whining gets people far in life.

Reply to Jxb1a

8600gt for 200$? I thought it's cheaper than that, I thought 8600gts is msrp for $200.
Well anyway, I saw a lot of benchmarks for this new card, I'm not impress. I'm hoping AMD can do some magic with their 65nm HD 2600 cards.

Why are you so excited about a $200 card that probably will get crushed by the X1950GT which was available for a while at $110 AR. Or the X1900GT that was $130 no rebates. This is a GT not a GTS. Shoot, even max OC'ed the GT probably won't top X1900GT performance.

Yeah, I'm doing the step up program anyways, I just got it to test it out a bit, Oh I got CS:S to run normally again, I underclocked the card to 400/400

Don't get me wrong. I totally see the excitement in trying it before it's released. And your step up idea is great, putting $200 toward the next card. I too have heard cards calling out to me  and may have even gone for it like you just for testing. But some of these guys are acting like you just landed an 8800 Ultra or something.

Those 8600 ultras were just rumors.

Warriors.... come out to play-yay....

I too hear voices in my head, but usually they say stuff that gets me in trouble more than spend money. Although wife a wife, maybe it's really the same thing for you.

Actually Software is my biggest weakness. I can't resist a good deal on CDs, DVDs, HD-DVDs, Old games, New Apps, etc.

I looked at a copy of FartCry for $4.99 in that new value sleeve on the shelf @ BB and I almost bought it just to be able to give it to a friend for multi-player. Then I stopped myself and said WTF am I doing, just tell him to buy it! 8O Duh! But it was such a deal it was tempting just to do it.

I found out the reason why my cs was running weirdly. It had nothing to do with the 8600GT it was actually all due to ATItool. I knew it acted weirdly when I first used it but I wasn't sure. But now since I deleted it, CS:S runs fine again.

Reply to Jxb1a

Yeah, you'll have to wait until they add support for the GF8600 series to ATiTool, expect that shortly after launch, baring any major issues.

Nice! Which Fry's are you talking about. Maybe I'll scope them out here in my area west of Chicago, the only. Maybe they'll sell me 8800GTX for a 7800GTX's price! :D

Reply to chuckshissle

Awe shnit...all I have is these old cards...8800GTX and X1950XTX...you've got newer stuff than me now.

No power connector on this card? Hmmm, the BFG 8600GT OC I saw at Bestbuy today had one. Maybe they added it as a safety precaution being as the card comes overclocked from the factory.

Yeah great movie, and whenever I hear calling out I think of that scene with the Stubbie beer bottles.

Also, looks like Crysis will be good enough to buy at launch...... CAN YOU DIG IT !?! http://img377.imageshack.us/img377/8614/afro2kv6.gif
