I have a IPAQ H5550 that is set up running Linux. I want to go back to
Pocket PC but I can not seem to get rid of it. I talked to HP and for
$150 they will reflash my ROM, but honestly I dont wanna pay that much
to get it back. Is there any way of doing this myself?

HP got me to try a "Hard reset" pressing down the calendar button and
the arrow button (the 2 bottom buttons on the front) while pressing in
the reset for 5-10 seconds. This only added in resetting my password,
so I cant log into it at all.

I JUST WANNA ERASE EVERYTHING OFF IT AND START OVER....

When I try connecting it to my computer through USB, it comes up as an
unrecognized device.

PLEASE HELP ME as I'm so pissed off and frusterated with this stupid
thing!

press the reset button and press the 4 buttons on the front. Then hold for 7 sec.

If it doesn't turn On, press the reset button once then the power button.

Hope this helps.

Can anyone confirm wether this has worked?
I'm planning on installing linux onto my H5550 and I don't want to do it if I can't get it back off.
