Shemp,

Take a look at the HPC:Factor HCL (link is off our front page) and search
for WiFi cards. You will find those that are compatible on the list.

How fast are these cards for the HP 620LX?

They don't need to be fast for a Pocket PC. Only spend extra for a faster
card if you think you'll need to use it in a camera later on.

In other words, a faster rated card will not work noticeably quicker in a
pocket PC.

at wifi speeds of 10mbit, the hpc's processor is the limiting factor...
put a 100mbit network card in it and your network access wouldn't be any
faster.

Since the primary need for a wifi car is through a cable modem, that
will limit it even further.

Shemp,

The cards are 802.11b specification so 11mb/sec. This is far faster than
the bus in the 620LX so it won't be an issue.

So are you saying I should buy a cheaper card?

Bye the way is there a real handheld PC 630LX web forum forum? These
newsgroups seem to have quite a few trolls, spammers, and religious
freaks storming them. I try to stay away from usenet for this very
reason.

Thank you

Is this a problem with all HPC's?

Your a dick Clinton for your discrimination and harassment. I offered a
network card for free, and you delete it, because you want total control
over the HPC hardware market. You delete it, after someone responded
and asked for the card. What is wrong with such a post Clinton?

<>Hi, i've read your HPC:Factor post regarding a Network card. i would
like to have it, but i'm in mexico, i could pay via paypal (credit
card), if you're set up for receiving that kind of payments. please tell
me if you're willing to do so, so we can start talking about shipping
costs.

thank you a lot

Since hpc's essentially "predate" pocketpc's which started at around
133mhz, I would assume that most of them are around that speed limit.

otoh, what are you planning to do via wifi that requires a fast card?

Sorry Shemp - I wrongly assumed that since you were posting in a pocket pc
group, it was a pocket pc.
