Hello All

My Dell Axim x30 freezes way too much . I have read other posts on the
subject but not much in the way of answers. I have a disability, and it is
very frustrating to remove the higher capicity battery everytime this
happens. Is anyone aware of any tools that might make one-handed battery
removal more of posability? The unit's quoted stats are as follows: Program
memory free: 6.82 mb, Data: 15.61 mb.

I've tried to install Adobe Reader which failed... I can see why now.... Is
freeing any memory going to make it less crashy? How much do I need free to
keep it stable? Also installed a game which I removed..' Other then that
I've done nothing..... Suggestions? I'm afraid to turn it off at this
point...

Bye

I had a similiar problem when I placed the unit in maximum processor speed.
But when placed in slow speed the problem vanished.

However when I upgraded to A05 ROM I was able to place the processor to max
speed with no lockups.

Mark,

Have you tried Memory Maid? I know it helps me.

Why do you continually need to remove the battery?
Does a Soft reset or even a Hard reset help?
I'd update the ROM, start from scratch and se how it goes.
