Can the view of a contact be changed on an IPAQ (2755)? Presently, two
phone numbers are presented, followed by the address, followed by the
remaining phone numbers. I prefer all the phone numbers in one group
(either above or below the address) and, preferably able to order them
within the group.

When the contats are in "list format" tap the character on the right
edge of the screen...

That will "pull down" all of the phone numbers and email addresses in
that entry.

The "dot" indicates the number that will be displayed for that contact
when in a list format, and this default can be changed by tapping
another number in the list.

If you have a phone edition, you can load the default number into the
phone pad by pressing the "call" button, then call that number by
pressing it again.

Thanks for the idea, but the problem persists:

When viewing the "full page" view for a contact, the order of information is
always listed:

Name
Title
Company name
_______________
Work Phone
Work Fax (if one is entered)
Work Address:
Street
City
Country
email
Mobile phone
etc

My preference is to have the phone numbers listed together above the
address--in the ideal world ordered according to my preference, not Bill
Gates. An acceptable alternative would be to list them after the address.
I prefer to see all the phone numbers together, not split by the address. I
suppose I would trick the system by not entering anything in "work phone"
and "work fax" which would drive them all to the bottom of the page. Any
thoughts?

thanks,

fwn

MS embedded in ROM is pretty inflexible, so the user has to be very
flexible ;-\

Hence my alternate response as other than going with a third party
contacts application, there are really no options to do what you need afaik.

That said, the display and navigation options in contacts are pretty
good for a pd platform... might take a look at
http://BevHoward.com/bhhpj.htm#Contact for some of the hidden or
confusing aspects.

Look at programs like Pocket Informant and Agenda Fusion. They offer a lot
more features, and you can trial the programs. PI has a good pdf manual you
can read through to see if it will do what you want.
