how can THG write stuff up about nothing... there has basically been nothing new or interesting in the past while..

and sure they missed an article or two, but really what was there to say... they would have got what.. one page worth of info which could be found anywhere else..

perhaps you should look at the circumstances in which we are in before posting m8..

While thats a valid point, it doesn't account for the lack of depth, quality, or attention to detail that we have become accustomed too here.

Lately Anandtechs reviews have been much more in-depth.

well yea i have to agree with you there.. some of their articles have been a wee bit bad lately.. (i suppose like butter scraped over too much bread )

yeah... my complaint focuses mainly on the lack of quality work around here in the past year or so. besides the fact that THG is usually 1 day late on all breaking news, the articles plain suck. they're incomplete and cursory. the recent camera article for example doesn't have a price list for the reviewed cameras. i found myself on newegg.com searching for each individual camera so i could determine the price and then putting them into a spreadsheet. when reviewing a product price should be at the top of the list, should it not?

it's simple stuff like that that drives me nuts.

The main problem IMO is that they try to have every electronic piece in existance in there.They should better focus on what they are supposed to review , mostly related to computers.The DSLR article really sucked as you said,very little ,if at any at all, info on every camera they have in there.You cant just call that a guide or expect people to buy cameras based on that one.
I dont really like reading pages with so much detail in them ,after all it becomes boring for most people since most just jump to pages with numbers after a few minutes, but no info at all...
Fewer products and simple but informative reviews would be much better.

The guys who do this site are busy finding out the maximum human pain threshold for tolerating crap-tastic flash ads more than writing quality articles anymore.


I mean really, how many f***in' flash ads can one site have going at once? Its like a bad myspace page lately. Hopefully, they will get back to work on actual good articles and research soon.
