Hi all.
I have a problem with the NevoMedia software that came with my PDA. When I
try to enable the NevoMedia server, nothing happens. Anyone else had this
problem, and how did you fix it? I use Windows XP on my PC.

/Magnus

Nevo uses the standard Universal PNP technology, but their implementation of
it is rather buggy IMHO. I would suggest checking out the TwonkyVision uPnP
server, which even works with the Nevo client on the rx series, but has more
features (Ogg Vorbis, Internet Radio, etc.) and is much more stable. For
music only they have a free music server, but the complete product is quite
nice for use with PPC and laptops, etc. Check it out here:

http://www.twonkyvision.com/UPnP/index.html

Also if you want more information on what is going on do a search for Intel
uPnP - you should find mention of several products using this platform, both
on the PC and the PPC. One example of another freely available server is
MusicMatch (which in server mode encompasses uPnP ), but is not as friendly
as TwonkyVision.

Good Luck.

Mine seems to work OK. There are updates for both the 3715 and the Media
Server at HP

Well. I downloaded the updates, but unfortunetly that didn't fix the problem
:-( I still can't enable the software. I've scoured the net for the
solution, but have found nothing.

Wish I could help more but I have family visiting and the room the media
center is in has been commandeered by a four year old. I can't get in there
to see what things should look like. I have the 3715 in front of me now
streaming of the HP Media Server. It's something I set up a while back and
then haven't really touched. It's in startup, so loads itself. I notice it
in the system tray, but other than that it's a set and forget thing for me.
Hope someone can help.
