Hi All,

I have a O2 XDA. I've taken some video and decided to download it to my PC.

However, it will not play in Windows Media Player, Real or anything. The
file is an MPEG-4 and I have Media Player 10.

Does anyone have the answer?

TIA - H

Try Apple's Quicktime Player or VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/).

Thanks for responding Tony,

I find it odd that a video recording in MS Pocket PC will not work on XP.
Surely one would expect these files to work across microsofts own
platforms - or have I missed something.

Cheers H

Install Codecs to solve the problem.
FYI I am able to view MP4 vidoes recorded by my Mini O2 in WM10.

In all probability this sounds like a missing codec issue. Does WMP give any
message at the small taskbar at the bottom of the WMP screen when it cannot
play this file?

Thanks

WMP for PPC can't play MPEG4 as far as I'm aware - unless the device
manufacturer has preinstalled alternative codec suppport, this isn't
something users can modify.

The OP needs to use another player - recommended is betaplayer
(http://betaplayer.corecodec.org), worth an install if you've never
tried it before ;-) There's a version for Smartphone aka XDA

I found that Apple's Quick Time Player and BetaPlayer are the best choices
to play mp4 files on Desktop and PPC respectively. I was able to play almost
all the Video file formats that are known to me, on my i-mate PDA2K.

Thanks,
