This probably isn't much help but I can tell you that up until a few months
ago I used it all the time on win98 se with no problems at all. I used it
to encode weekly shows I 'd record to the hd then transfer them to my ppc
for watching at my leisure. I've since moved and the old 1gig pc with win98
is still packed in a box on a shelf in the garage. It'll be awhile before
I have enough time to set that back up
