Yes, the Audiovox 6600 will allow you connection to the Internet, in two
ways (perhaps three, read down)...

1.Using its own cellular network capabilities: if connected to Verizon you
can get EV-DO in certan places in the USA, with speeds of up to 500Kpbs
(average). Downside: cost, but very effective for checking e-mails and some
emergency work and browsing

2.When in the cradle connected to your computer it can use the same internet
connection (sharing)

3.If you add a Wi-Fi card you can connect to a Wireless LAN at home, office
or hotspots (some free, some paid)

MSN Messenger and Pocket Internet Explorer are pre-installed. Yahoo
Messenger may have a version for Pocket PC (can't remember) but you can
always use Agile Messenger. And you can install programs on your Pocket PC,
just not the same as the PC - different OS, interfaces, etc. In general the
functionality is there.

Be aware of Agile Msg. I just uninstalled it from my 6600, it was constantly
locking up the PPC or causing it to reboot. I went back to AIM's mobile
client.

All in all I've been very happy with my 6600, it's my third PPC and first
PPC/Phone combo, I will be sticking with the combo for any new PPC I get in
the future.

Interesting Wayne, I have agile installed on all of my 6600's and haven't
had any problems with lockups. What version of agile are you using.

Not sure as I've uninstalled it. What I have noticed is if a message comes
in at the same time I am touching the screen it either locks, or reboots.

What version are you using? Maybe I'll try it out again, I liked it much
better than AIM for WinCE.

Just an updated, I've re-installed Agile and still have the same issues,
random reboots and lock ups.
