I just got my Siemens SX66, and think it's great. However I found that I
can't have a custom ringtone per-caller- just a global one. Evidently the
newer version of the OS supports that. Can I upgrade? If so, what's the
procedure- I don't see anything on that on MS's web site.

Siemens has not announced any plans to offer upgrades on their devices. You
can find a list of those OEMs who have - with regular updates made - on my
site at http://www.clintonfitch.com/wm5/default.asp

Bill, OS updates are released by the manufacturer, not MS. This is because
each Pocket PC (and more on Phone Edition!) has different hardware and
drivers to be loaded and tested.

With Phone Edition the OS is released by Operators that make it compliant
with their network requirements. You have to wait and see if your Operator
or Siemens (which has now sold the mobile business to BenQ) will release
this.

Also Windows Mobile 5.0 was just announced and shouldn't be available from
retailers (on new Pocket PC) until the last quarter or so.
