I have a floppy that I use around 3 or 4 times a year. Ive been into computers since 1993 and as sad it is, It looks like somethings missing with out a floppy drive. |

Floppy disks are dead. have been for years. Why would anyone use an extremely unreliable storage media when you can slip a USB memory stick in your pocket that can carry nearly 2000 floppy disks worth of data. Its also much more reliable. Floppy disks are a waste of time, 3 1/2 inch floppy drives have followed 5 1/4 drives to the grave yard. I look after 450 PC's at work and not one of them has a floppy drive.

Jeeeesuzz! I go away for the weekend and this thing has festered (as in pustule) into 3 pages of hyperbole, with even DaSickone weighing in? The only time I witnessed greater attention to some fluff like this garnering so much attention was when some little dolly wrote in asking for advice. They all came flocking.

You should see the gold spoked rim I put on the outside of the drive wheel. It looks great with the flames, and the suped up internals makes that thing FLY. |

If its a decent thread, then I try not to screw it up too bad. Like you said, this started out on the wrong foot... |

yeah, no sense in screwing up a useful thread. There are so many useless ones out there that you don't need to though. |
