the ninja is on vacation.

he might post here since his name is the topic.

Reply to sirheck

Uhh, I'm not sure why this is a ninja specific question, but he's on vacation as sirheck said, but occasionally he does come out now and then if he finds anything that interests him. Anyways, mouse pads, get either a steel pad, or this company came up with this special hybrid pad that's supposed to be nice too. Zalman has a cheap 4 fan speed controller, but most will do anyways, they aint that much different unless you get an lcd screen or special thermal based controller with it, and those costs a lot more. LED and cathodes are meh, they aren't worth the money imo, printers, I know brother makes excellent cheap lasers color and black+white.

Anyways everette, I don't know where prozac is, but I'm surprised he didn't come with the name ninja in the thread, I was just talking to him. But I can't say for the others, most of them aren't around all that much though (I haven't even seen wusy before)

that is really a personal opinion. =(comfort)

but on the build quality and looks and durability, sure.

if i was gonna spend 100 or more on a chair i would spend sometime
(in-store) and sit in it look it over, all that shstuff.

then make my own decision.

Reply to sirheck

Naw, I'm actually quite fit (that's because I can't drink beeer anyway  )

A review on computer chairs would be quiet nice, I can tell you from experience to not get a masage chair, because when it's not on, they're very uncorfetable to sit in, and most cheap chairs are just as confertable as the high end leather ones. Personally, I'd prefer a keyboard/mouse review, that way you can get the small things that really make a difference, especially in confort. Personally, I would choose between these keyboards

I just bought this, great keyboard imo, and this is a preffered gaming board

Nice keyboard, should have got THIS.

Reply to Everett

my mom won't let me do tackle

And I would have gotten a keyboard like that, or this blank one for 1337 skills
http://www.xoxide.com/das-keyboard-ii.html

But the g15 interested me more, and I'm broke anyways, so that was the best keyboard I could get for my money, and I don't game that much anyways, so an ergo keyboard is better for my case

Reply to I_Love_Tacos

I have the g-15, I love it. It's by far the best keyboard my fingers have ever made contact with.

But seriously....you want other cool keyboards, check it.
I just did a report on all of these keyboards for my CNEE class. The DX1 is my personal favorite, but Apples concept is pretty slick I must admit.

The iBIZ Laser Keyboard ($99)

The Optimus Keyboard, which was already mentioned (~$1200)

The DX1 Keyboard ($150) (Review @ IGN

Apple's future concept of the Mac.

Reply to 3lfk1ng

The apple looks cool, but I don't think that will ever happen for years to come. And looking at my budget and how little I'm allowed to game, I think that microsoft ergo keyboard is good enough for me, otherwise as I have stated, would have gotten either the blank one for 1337ness, or the g15 with a g7 or mx518 mouse

nice to see you in a thread finally anyways :D

Reply to I_Love_Tacos

I'll consider it.

Reply to dasickninja

Those are some wild boards or in the case of the iBIZ, lack thereof. I wonder if the shadows of your fingers would block out some keys while typing :?

Always good to see you as well Taco... and Sirheck :D

I have actually been posting in quite a few threads recently since my job got outsourced to china.... :D  ..oh well.

I have the G15 paired with the G7... which is also the best mouse I have used. I like it a lot more than any of the Razor Mice (The new and the old ones, even the Bloomslang 2100dpi ball mouse which was really nice once upon a time) that I have messed with previously at various lan events. If I didn't get the G7 I would have gotten the G5 and If I didn't get the G5 I would have gotten the MX518.

As far as mousepads go... I have tried the Func pads and even the Razor X mat, but nothing hails in comparison to the 1337ness of the slice ice-like surface of the ICEMAT 2nd edition.

Anyways, I'm trying to post more but at the same time I'm trying to keep myself busy irl with some work that I need to have done for the summer so that I can relax.

Reply to 3lfk1ng

And boy do we have a lot of it. Its near endless, thats why I'm on vacation.

I'm in no mood...

Reply to dasickninja

I'm sorry you have to move to China, but eventually we all will at the rate of their econimies' growth and our decline

Anyways, if you say the g7 is good, I'll take your word for it, it's just that I have seen newegg reviews saying it's tracking quality drops after a while, and I know never to trust newegg reviews, but since this isn't performance we're talking, I thought it was pretty safe to trust them to some extent

The icemat seems nice with it being only $20 at amazon, but I already have a nice pad that I bought off xoxide during operation X for cheap that's quite nice, but what do you think about the concept of the blank keyboard, that'll show your true 1337ness, only a real dewd could make use of one of those, I feel bad for my newb friends that still finger peck

Reply to I_Love_Tacos

Yeah, I agree, but considering how many features it has, it's worth the price relative to other simularly priced boards, but as you know, I bought a nice natural board for now, and will upgrade my mouse and keyboard again later

Reply to I_Love_Tacos

I use just a regular keyboard for now, suits my uses just fine. Although, when I do buy a new keyboard, I'll probably get a G15. Granted, I'll have no desk space left, but I think it'll be worth it for the macro goodness in WoW.

Reply to yourmothersanastronaut

true that, true that

Reply to I_Love_Tacos

So when you buy a new gaming keyboard, remember to do a review on it.

Reply to dasickninja

I knew you'd show up. :-) BTW ladies, I DID PM him. He failed to respond. He was looking for ideas a couple of weeks ago...

BTW, on speedtest I scored about 5K down 500up. =( My local cable provider blows.

I have the G15 also. Dell makes pretty good keyboards too. They've always been pretty well rounded, and have actually improved with time. They're durable, easy to read, have a good standard layout, and have just the right touch on the keys. Maybe I'm just use to it. My GF's 3 (4 now?) year old Dell keyboard is better than my 5 (6?) year old one. Both are "quiet key" boards. Pretty standard. I tried that stupid Ideazon ZBoard. Sold it right away. Keyboards are still something that they haven't been able to get quite perfect yet. Mice however, are nearing perfection IMO. Razer is great. The ridges on my copperhead are a bit rough, and I hate the side buttons, but the weight and click and tracking are excellent.

Reply to JonnyDough

I bought an ergo keyboard though remember, but the problem is that some of the keys don't work, so I'm gonna check out my local compusa for a nice deal and see if I can pickup a g15/g7, otherwise I will just rma the board for an exchange

http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/ [...] fault.mspx
If anyone knows where I can pick one of these up, I will gladly do an (amateur) review on it. If the g15 was wireless I would already have one, but I sit across the room from my box, and I just know if i strung a USB cable across my room it would be dog/3-year-old/drunkpete bait.

Reply to petevsdrm

did you get that email I sent you, with the mx being at only $24, I thought you were going to get a mouse anyways, but I'd have to pick the g15 over that keyboard, then again it's not my keyboard to pick

Reply to I_Love_Tacos

... what is this.... keybeard... of which you speak....?

Reply to lordaardvark2

Cool, I think I have decided to return the keyboard for cash, now just to determine whether I can get more use out of a g15 or a g7, probably a g15 since my current board doesn't have a usb port for the g7's wireless router doohicky.
