The SP 3 updates is for Windows 2000. I have Windows XP 2002. Should I
install this?

Last service pack for Windows XP is SP2 and is not the same as for Windows
2000!

After you install Windows SP2 there are some patches to add. Best way to
find witch patches you are missing is to go to
http://update.microsoft.com/micros [...] x?ln=en-us and
check your computer on-line.

I hope this helps,

Hi
I have automatic updates turned on and have installed every update since SP 2.
It looks like SP 3 is for Windows 2000, not Windows XP. Am I correct? If so,
why would MS Updates suggest I should install SP 3? Thank you.

Well, Windows 2000 is at Sp4 and there is also a post-Sp4 Rollup
Update 1. So, you must be misunderstanding something. For instance,
it may be saying Office XP Sp 3 . . .
