Hi all,
I recently bought DLink DI-624s router and I am facing some problems setting up my home network. I try to configure my network as given in the manual. The computer connected to the Router with an ethernet cable works perfectly fine but when I try to connect my laptop with the router using a wireless connection, the router switches off for a sec. After few attempts I am able to connect the router but the connection is too slow and it gets disconnected after sometime. Can someone help me with this problem.

Thanx in advance,
sony

thing to try.

1st turn off firewall on the NB. Or add rule for your new subnet.
2nd see if you can connect with out any security.
if good.

You did not say if your wire card in the NB was 11g.
if so, set router for 11g only.
Setup WPA-TKIP or WPA2 if supported.
use the max number of chr allowed (48-63) copy and past is easier.
Security is only as good as you key.
if every thing is working, turn back on your firewall.
If it does not work, add rule to allow for your subnet.
