I been trying to add a network component by going to properties on my network connection. I click install and then choose a network component to install. As soon as I hit add, I get an error that says "Could not add the requested component. The error is: The Specified path does not contain any application device INFs." I'm doing this on a new Sony Vaio P4 2.8 ghz notebook with Windows XP Pro running on it. I get this problem when I try it on the built in ethernet port and the SMC wireless G card I added. Help!!! Thanks!!!

Can you list the steps you're taking, the component you're trying to install and if you have a legal copy of Windows XP and is your Windows XP up to date on service packs and hot fixes?
