Hello all,
I've been "geeking out" lately and have figured out how to stream
beyond tv shows to my pocket pc over the internet. The ONE thing (ok,
not ONE, but main) the Main thing that I have not been able to figure
out is how to change the channel of live TV when watching the pocket
stream.
I've read Eric Hick's excellent guide, and it showed an interface that
looked like it was optimized for pocket. But is this feature not
supported in the latest version? The Desktop version of the stream
works great, I can change the channels willy nilly, but no luck for the
pocket version.

I don't know what product you're using for TV broadcast, but you
should be able to use VNC or Terminal Server on the PPC to go into
your desktop box, scroll about the desktop then 'press the buttons' on
your desktop (to change channels) using the PPC.
Does that make sense ?

Interesting combination, and one I've never thought of... I'm kind of
new to PocketPC, so I've never heard of either. I will play around with
it and see if it suits my needs.

The article that I wronte showed version 3.44 of Beyond TV, since
then Snapstream has really screwed up the pocket pc interface(atcually they
abandoned it). A poster named (StevenR) came up with some mobile pages that
allow you to change the channel from within pocket IE. I just searched
through the snapstream forum but I can't find the post with the link and
instructions for installation. I tried it once before and while it's not as
pretty as the one's snapstream had in version 3.44 it does work. Sending
Steven a private msg on the snapstream forum should get you going in the
right direction.
