HI GUYS,

I JUST RECENLY BUILD THIS SYSTEM:

C2D 6600

P5B DELUXE ASUS

CORSAIR 6400 C4 2GB 4-4-4-12

2 X SATA 7200.10 320GB

XFX XXX 8800GTS FACTORY OVERCLOCKED NEW PCI-EX GRAPHIC CARD

NOW I HAVE INSTALLED SP2 OEM COPY OF XP PRO FRESH INSTALL

AND THEN I DID PUT THE CD WHICH CAME FROM XFX AND ON THE INSTALLATION WIZARD IT SAD TO ME NVIDIA DRIVERS COULDNT FIND COMPATIPLE DEVICE ON YOUR SYSTEM. BUT IT DOES SAY STANDART VGA CARD IS FOUND SO WHAT I DID .

I WENT TO NVIDIA DOWNLOADED THE LATEST DRIVERS . THEN I CHOOSE THE GRAPHIC CARD MANUALLY FROM THE DRIVERS LIST AS 8800GTS I RESTARTED THE PC FIRST TIME REBOOTED IT DIDNT RECOGNIZE THE GRAPHIC CARD SO AFTER THE FIRST REBOOT XP SAD IT FOUND GRAPHIC CARD AND THIS TIME XP AUTOMATICALLY REGISTERED 8800GTS DRIVERS WHICH PREVIOUSLY I CHOOSEN MANUALLY.

NOW IS THIS NORMAL WITH FORCEWARE DRIVERS OR BECAUSE THIS CARD HAS BEEN OVERCLOCKED AND NEW GENERATION FROM FACTORY...

ELSE IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG WITH THIS 7 DAYS OLD GRAPHIC CARD NOW IT WORKS NORMAL IT SEEMS FINE AFTER THAT FIRST REBOOT AND AUTOMATIC INSTALLATION...

PLEASE HELP ME GUYS,

The drivers on the cd that came with your video card are probably nvidia generic forceware. Nvidia forceware thats downloaded from nvidia.com has an installer and it might be better than manually installing the drivers, which you said you did. you can download Driver Cleaner Pro v1.5 is FREE(not from drivercleaner.net because they make it seem like you have to pay/donate before you download from their site.) http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak [...] onal.shtml
and you can use it to uninstall the existing forceware on your pc. then reboot and use the latest Graphics Driver\Geforce 8800 Series\windows xp\forceware installer downloaded from http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp

Your video card is OK. Just download the latest drivers from nVidia and install them. You will be fine.

TURN YOUR CAPS OFF. :)

Please don't type in all caps

Seriously... why do people always do that? I don't get it...

Ahhhh......

All this yelling hurts my eyes.

Latest Xp drivers are here.
Uninstall your old drivers and reinstall the latest ones.

Your card is fine, you just need to re-install the drivers.

well hopefully, the drivers you download will solve the problem.

Others are not so lucky: namely the proud owners of Vista and 8800 series cards, who are sick of waiting for Nvidia to release a working driver and are contemplating a class action lawsuit.

Yeah, nvidia's Vista drivers are crap.
All they let you do is change the resolution.
I don't even get aero

But it's Vista Ready... lol
I have been waiting to upgrade myself until they get a driver that works properly, not half the features and 3/4 the performance.
