Yeah, well I didn't list my wife's Dell X286SX 6mhz, with a 512k ISA video card -- 16 colors!, and 512k ram. RLL controller card pushes the 10mb HD to a whopping - "I'll never use it all"-- 20mb, and state of the art DUAL floppy drives -- a 5.25 and a single-layer 3.5. Sound card? Sound card? She don't need no stinkin' sound card. The women, they get all the good stuff.

Get a new HDD for the P4 system and get your family to use that.

I have four desktops and a laptop.
One desktop is my prime PC, one is primarily for surfing the internet (to isolate virus issues and not expose confidential data that is on prime system), a third is a new cheap PC to replace the aging one used for the Internet, and one pc - the oldest - is temporarily in storage.

The first three systems are socket 939,and the 4th is socket 462.All four are great running and it makes for nice lan parties for my friends.Not to mention my wife and daughter enjoy the use of the last three.

I think that about covers the working systems - recently threw out a bunch of old Durons (800-1200) and Athlon 800... and a 468 50Mhz... but kept the CPU as it was the first comp in the house... In short... I have way too much computer junk... but it all goes to good use.. and it was build on a budget! Served me well over the years. Most of my systems are used for work related purposes.

I have 4;

1 Laptop is a Core Duo portable[lan party] gaming rig.
