I had a quick look at it yesterday and then deleted it. The one program
that I am really interested in using this for (SmartLists to Go) does work
just fine. But the screen resolution on a non-VGA is horrible (and from
what I understand not much better on a VGA device).

I disagree. I loaded and used this to run apps I have developed for
PalmOS and was really impressed.

The performance is at least as good as running the apps on my Handspring,
so it's more than adequate. The compatibility is very good (on the apps
I have tested). I have two apps that use a library function that causes
StyleTap to crash, but they are working on that.

Obviously, if it doesn't work for your specific application, it isn't
useful to you, but give them a chance,

I run it on my Axim X50, and the normal screen mode StyleTap uses is
240x240. StyleTap expands the 160x160 PalmOS screen, so some things, (like
custom fonts, or very small graphics) are distorted. Still, I found it
more than adequate for my apps. You also have the option of going to a
"native" size screen of 160x160 in which there is no distortion, but the
screen is obviously much smaller--too small for my old eyes on my device.

One of my apps is a stopwatch program, and even the timer seems to work
with good accuracy (although I have to test this more completely).

For now, the biggest problem I see is the lack of support for getting data
from your Palm apps to anywhere else--either the PocketPC itself, or your
Desktop. It isn't there yet.

Just a suggestion. A Pocket PC with StyleTap Platform installed can
send and receive beamed Palm apps and databases.

Using the StyleTap Launcher you can beam Palm apps.

If you want to beam databases then use a Palm database manager program
like FileZ (freeware), SuperUtil or the file manager in ZLauncher.

If you beam Palm apps and databases to the Pocket PC, StyleTap Platform
gets invoked to handle it.
