To subtitle a movie I used virtual dub and now the file is ridiculously big, is there any way to get it back to a standard size; and is there any way to subtitle movies that doesnt make the file soooo big? Thanks!!

Maybe you have just made something really bad on the settings of your video on virtualdub.
Try a different setting.

The best software to compress videos without too much loss in quality is Dr DivX. I think there must be something wrong with the way you did the subtitles, else the file shouldn't get too big.
