I'm pretty sure MobilePlanet sells truck/car mounts:
www.mobileplanet.com
So do Intermec, LXE, and probably others (see URLs below).

I've posted lists of rugged Windows CE/Pocket PC devices a few times,
but not in a while. So see below for a new list.

Serial ports are becoming less common on "retail" handhelds. But
Socket, among others, makes cards (CF and SD) with serial ports:
www.socketcom.com
(note the extra com in the name, www.socket.com is some other
company).

I'm pretty sure at least a couple of rugged handhelds come with
built-in GPS. Others can use a serial connection (see above),
Bluetooth, or perhaps USB connection. I'm pretty sure MobilePlanet
carries at least some of these.

I know very little about this topic. But as I was checking my list
(see below), I noticed that some products list GPRS. Also, if you
don't need GPRS per se, perhaps some of the handhelds have other ways
to provide a similar function.

Chris De Herrera's web site lists several rugged handhelds:
http://www.cewindows.net/wce/30/pocketpcruggedcomp.htm

Here's my latest list of rugged Windows CE/Pocket PC/Windows Mobile
computer companies. I am confirming each URL just before I copy it
here. Otherwise, the listings are in approximately alphabetical order,
with no comment about quality, etc. A few URLs are long and my get
mangled by my mail client. Also, I list only one URL for each company,
and only English language pages. Several companies have pages in other
languages.
