Hmmmm, and what can you tell me about the Ninja Rev. B? I see it in perfomance-pcs.com but I cant really tell any differences between it and the first one rev. a or first ninja (if there was one)

it comes with a fan, that's about it

I think they mention 2 extra pipes and that it is also a little bigger. Well even if it is, I already bought a fan so no need to get into super details.

More Information

The two pipes are what allow it to beat the infinity for starters, but the infinity is still bigger than revision b. I don't know too much about the details, except that it outperforms the 9700 from reviews

Well, it certainly is BIG, it's the size of a small refrigerator. I think I'm just going to get a small Centurian 5 type case with good air flow. This Thermaltake's nice and roomy but its been a true cooling disappointment.

I have the Centurian case with the mesh front and love it!

http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o62/Robs03EGTS/Picture007-1.jpg

I use the Centurian 5 for my FX-55 work rig and I love it too. I do not, however, love that little loud 80mm fan they threw in front of the hard drive cage, and I doubt it moves any serious air. See, since I have 5 hard drives, 2 of which are Raptors, I thought I'd look to a Centurian-type with a 120mm front fan, yet that has a nice window so I can still see all the bling-bling (ya know, bling-bling is a food group)...something like this... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6811119110 or this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6811133009

Since I've already made the $250 mistake I'll look for a low-cost chassis this time.

PS. I like how you rigged those 120mm's at the bottom...sweeeet.

If I buy an Antec P180 case am I going to be able to fit a Tuniq Tower 120 in there?

I'm pretty sure you can easily fit a Tuniq Tower in a P180...that's a huge chassis. ...unless you have an Asus Striker Extreme.

OK, i think all this will make me sick. As i was telling to my friend tacos, i am planning to get an infinity with two adjustable fans. Now i'm hearing ninja is better than infinity? I'm planning on a quad so i'd like your opinion also. Don't ignore 9700 because of the price, i don't give a $it about price! Just tell if there's a real benefit or 1~2c. Damn i wish i knew how to buy things online! :( Well if i had a credit things would be easier. :?

Edit: Halcyon, maybe you're selling this tuniq? Well i live in Greece so maybe that's impossible but i'm asking just for the kicks! :)

Hello,

I am a newbie in building a PC. I am considering on purchasing one of the following coolers:
• Vapochill Micro Ultra Low Noise
o http://www.overclockersonline.net/ [...] 295&pnum=6
o Zalman 9700

I have an Antec Nine Hundred case, with all 4 fans on low it is not very noisy so I want to keep it that way while over clocking my I6300 processor as much as possible. See my other system specs below.

It seems like using R134A Freon is a great idea, I find it hard to believe no other company is using this idea (maybe it is patent protected). Any advice would be helpful?

Paul

Asus P5B-E Motherboard, Intel 2 Dual Core 6300 processor, PNY 8800GTS, WD 160 GB SATA Hard Drive (8GB & 150MB/sec DTR), and a whopping 256 MB of PNY DDR2 memory (I will be purchasing a 2 GB kit as soon as I figure out what to buy and to find it at a decent price).

The difference is onl a efw C here and there, main difference is that the ninja has two more heatpipes with the infinity has more surface area, kinda proves that you can have a small cooler like the acf64 or acf7 pro that is small but has a a lot of well cooled heatpipes and that will outperform many coolers just not any of the current scythes, thermalrights, and sunbeams.

If price is really no problem, I can bive you a list of parts for a nice custom watr rig, or just get a cheap water rig like this one
http://www.xoxide.com/swiftech-h2o [...] treme.html
Not the best kit, but well worth the price, because unless you can a costum kit, this one is very nice for all the adapters it comes with (I believe cpu, mobo, vga and comes with a cool rexevior and a nice radiator).

Halcyon, won't don't you just drop the striker for this
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813136032
The rd600!!!! :trophy: :trophy: :trophy: :trophy: :trophy: 8)
This is a well of a lot cheaper then the striker, has proven to outperform the striker, and has many capabilites the striker doesn't have. The only problem with it is that it doesn't support a 1333 fsb, but that can be got around with future bios mods. Plus, this can hold a tuniq tower

Vapochill micro is a good cooler especialy the high end version, but if you have the choise to get 9700 is certainly stronger. Actually even 9500 is a bit stronger. Are you limited between this two? Because i agree with tacos that 9700 is overpriced in general. Well if money is no problem, we'll have to wait to hear others opinions to decide 9700 vs Infinity vs Ninja.

Lol, i meant no problem for aircooling! Water needs maintenance which i hate. The only thing i would consider is TEC coolit eliminator but i've heard that a good air will outperform it when overvoltage and high clocks are used. Is this true or with overvoltage just drops to air perf levels. I'll take a 850w supply so plenty of power is available. Just clear me this Coolit Eliminator vs 9700 vs Infinity x2 fans vs Ninja x2 fans. Sorry for the mess! :?

I disagree with the vapochill micro being a good cooler, a lot of mediocre cooler like the 9500 you said are outperforming it, and we discussed this and came to a conclusion that asetek simply cannot make aircoolers as well as their water rigs or phase change, but those are for later times for me to explain.

How many times do you want me to say it, zalmans are overpriced, are more look than performance especially the 9700nt, who's gonna pay an extra $10 just for a different fan color and base color when there are at least 10 coolers that perform better than the 9700nt for far less the $70 and still outperform the regular 9700 at $60 right now. If you want a nice cooler that's cost effective, just get this, and throw a nice fan on it
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6835109123
at less than $50, you can't complain about the price, and now that the tuniq is back in stock, this is the best aircooler on the market for anywhere between the $40 range to the $80, there are a few tec aircoolers, but they're a joke and I'd rather not get into those very expensive aircoolers taht I could just get a water rig for less
