Our weather has been pretty scary lately. It actually SNOWED here!!! Normally it snows ever 2nd year or so and at most about 2 inches. It has snowed almost 2 feet this month. Its all gone now, but my power got knocked out again (4th time in the last month) by crazy wind storms. There is supposed to be even more wind later today. But yeah, if you don't mind rain 250 days of the year (I don't, I actually like the rain), then Vancouver is pretty awesome.

Sweet! You ever been to any LAN parties? Western MI has one, I went to their last one. It's pretty big. Like 60 people. I hear GR has some good ones too. I'm working at building a sweet pad for LAN though, I want to host some. My gigabyte router comes tomorrow. I want to get a 16 port switch and plenty of desk space in a few years.

I dont apreciate you people calling other people names. DONT BE A REGIONIST.... thats against god's laws.

Being a regionist is kind of indigenious. Huh?

Uhh, isn't cottenwood spelled cottonwood? Kind of like cotyledon isn't spelled cotelodyn? :-D Err, yeah.

I've only lived in MI 3 years and in this town just two. :-P I still don't know how to point out to people where I live by pointing at my hand. (MI is shaped like a mitten or something I guess) Actually, this is my fifth state. I've lived in so many houses and so on, that I've learned to disprocess information I can look up and so I barely know the roads here. I've adapted to not learning things that don't interest me or that won't matter long term and forgetting things that I can look up. It has it's pros and cons, usually cons. My short term memory is not what I wish it was, although parts of my long term memory are photo-like.

ppl always get a kick out it...especially those wisconsiners...they try to say they can do it too...lies i tell you all lies...

and how cant you do it...its so easy...palms facing you...rotate left hand middle finger to 3 o'clock...line left hand pinky with right hand middle finger...vertically...bam...the whole state of michigan

other ppl are so going to try this...lol

I live in Kalamazoo. I used to live in Sagnasty (Saginaw). Saginaw gets colder, we get more warm lake temps here I think, although the two are only a few hours apart. The snow here is gone. I'm all settled in to another gray sky winter. Maybe I'll see if I can hibernate until May. Michigan weather sucks. I miss PA. :-\

ive got friends who live in K-zoo...portage area i think it was...they are like a mile from the IHOP and Mongolian BBQ...the latter of the 2 being so delicious

I totally just did.

It does kinda look like that. Except I don't have crazy falidamide (sp?) hands.

I was kidding, I can do it. :-P But I thought I caught something with that whole "middle finger" part. Flip the bird to this lake effect crap. Before I moved to Saginaw I lived in South Bend/Mishawaka. I've had about enough of all the weather around here. It's never dull, that's for sure. Tornados, heavy wind, heaps of snow one day and warm rain the next. Sub zero temps and freezing rain, hot summers. It's almost enough to make me want to stay indoors year round. On the plus side, you can do it all here. From skiing (sort of, we don't have mountains) to water-skiing, jetskiing and tobogganing, we've all got snowmobiles and plenty of booze to go around. If anyone wants a place that's always changing and always the same, try Michigan. We're also a diverse, segregated culture. That's one thing I envy about places like California, the diversity. Oh, and the beach and the weather. I hear the women out there are easy and rich too, which actually isn't my type. Anymore. :-D

They're both delicious....but yes...The Mongolion is the bomb if you LOVE meat. For those of you who have never been to a restaurant like it...you choose items from a smorgasboard to toss into a bowl, every kind of meat you can imagine, all top quality. You toss in a few veggies and about any type of seasoning or sauce you want. Then you take your bowl to the counter, behind which is a huge round grill. They dump your food on the grill and within minutes you have the most savory bowl of meat or whatever that you ever had in your life. I'm drooling just thinking about it. IHOP is awesome too.

gmoney, that whole hand thing only applies if you're not a yooper. Otherwise you say "I'm from the upper-P aye?" =)

For a minute there I thought you were going to diss the HOP  . Actually I have been to a restaurant in Vancouver called the Mongolie (sp?) Grill that is pretty much the same. Really good food.

I haven't been to a LAN party since I was in High School. Now with a wife and daughter I don't get to do much of that anymore. Still very fun though. If you ever get such a pad let me know maybe I could make an appearance.

Isn't that God's first and foremost law if you're a Texan? Some of them have egos the size of their grand state.
