I am using two laptops operating on a wireless network. Connected to my wireless router I have connected in a NAS. Problem is when the NAS is switched on, my broadband connection continually drops in and out, giving me internet connectivity for no longer that 30 secs or so. I've tried to update the firmware but there isn't an upgrade available.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can overcome this problem.

Sounds like you may have something (nas) pulling your router down.
1. Try a different port.
2. Try connecting your laptop by wire to the router and see if the same thing happens.
3. Try a different nic cable if you have one.

If your LT works, you may have a problem with the NAS.

Having had chance to carry out a bit more diagnosis, it seems that it is not necessarily operating the NAS that makes my broadband connection drop out but what I'm doing with the NAS. I currently have my music collection on the NAS and accessing and updating this with iTunes seems the worst culprit for making my broadband connection drop out. Is this something I just have to live with or are there any changes in configuration I can make to overcome these problems.
