A few months ago I seen a post where centrino duo and core 2 cpu on laptop can not be upgraded. Well I am letting you know this is false info. It depends on the maker of the motherboard. Some venders has socket type cpus for centreno duo and core 2.

This is how I found it was false. I calling Intel. I staying away from large venders like Bestbuy, dell and staples. Tried smaller companys.

If you dont beleave me. Call Intel. http://www.intel.com/feedback.htm? [...] r_contact.

I think people need to stop beleaving websites and start doing there own research. Or your going to make your self look like a supid fool.

I would aim for a desktop but This has more to do with running a company. So I can take my work with me.

Here what I m aiming for.

Core Duo T2300 1.66GHz Or Core Solo T1300 1.66ghz
1GB of 667 Memory (1 1gb chip not 2 512mb chips so it save money on upgrade)
80GB 5400
ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 256
CDRW/DVD
Intel Wireless 802.11abg
Windows XP Home

Here what it will look like when I m done

Core 2 Duo T7600 2.33GHz
2gb of 667 memory
160gb 7200
ati mobility radeon x1600 256mb
CDRW/DVD
Intel Wireless 802.11abg
Windows xp Pro or Windows 64 Pro or vista.
