Not true at all. I use owned one up until a couple of weeks ago and recently sold it on Ebay because I just didnt see the need in having it along with my PC.

I have pretty much played every game thats available for both on the 360 and the PC. COD2, Prey, Condemned, Oblivion, Hitman Bloodmoney. ETC...

The PC versions have a good lead over the 360 counter parts with higher res textures, the PC does AA better and AF plus even with these added features I get far better framerates on my PC.

I dont know why but when it comes to AF filtering the 360 games seriously lack in that department which leads to muddy looking textures which just kills the whole experience for me.

The best thing about the 360 is its GPU with Unified shaders, the only draw back however is the low clock speed of only 500mhz. The X1900XTX might not have a unified shader engine but it makes up for that deficiency in sheer speed and processing power over the 360's GPU. Plus dont forget we can overclock, I have my X1900XT@730mhz core and 832mem. 360's GPU cant touch that.

And as for the CPU in the 360 it was actually outdone by PC Cpu's a good while before it even came out. It has been explained in tech articles about the 360's CPU being able to only read inorder code vs out of order code on your typical intel or amd cpu. The performance of the 360 CPU is about equivilant to a pentium 4 1.5ghz cpu.

Another article also proved it to be only roughly 2 times the power of the Xbox CPU.
exactly, I've had this argument with fanboys on gamespot mant times and they all say that 3 cores and unifed shaders make it better. so does oblivion run much better on pc?

exactly, I got a toshiba earlier in the year for $2000nzd and it run every game fine on med settings, and its smaller than xbox or the big ps2.

ok tell me about any console clans? oh right they dont have many. I play CSS and BF2 allways with the same great group of guys. Consoles are better for sports, but cant you surf the internet, use photoshop, 3dsmax and many other non-console stuff on you 'xbox'. IMO, consoles are for n00bs, who can't use a computer. PCs are for true people. It also seems to be PC games are better quality in graphics, and gameplay.

Both cards will work fine with your PSU.

I just love it when people pull the "No friends" or "No life" card... I have a full time job. I go to school. I have enough friends. My girlfriend loves me. I spend my spare time on my PC because it is an interest. I do find consoles a waste of my money. Note that I did say "my" money! I find a consloe to me extremely limited, in every aspect I can think of. So because "I swear by PC gaming" means that I dont have any real friends. I do find that statement to be quite ignorant.

If someone enjoys their console more than a PC, then thats fine... It surely does not affect me.

Ever heard of Halo2/Halo? People have been playing that since release, multiple millions of people...

Also, console clans, there are plenty since many games allow creating clans for that game. Rainbow Six, halo 2 etc. Halo 2 is in CAL, and last i checked it is always a major game at competitive PC Lans even...

This just proves the point that some people just don't understand their PCs nor what constitutes their limits.

Move your PC out of your bedroom and into the livingroom like the console and you can easily fit 8 people in front of it.

How did I state differently, I said that console makers RELY on that as well in order to sell their wares, which otherwise would not move as many products. I am one who bought the Xbox because of Halo2, but if they had been both PC and Console, I'd never bother with a console again except for at work.

The 'only available on a console' doesn't make the console better, it makes the developers sellouts for limiting it to console only, and in most cases the title would function better on PC if not a lousy port like HALO for PC.

Well for starters not many pc games have 8 player compatability without setting up a lan,and secondly my pc has its own room kinda like my plasma and ps2 have their own room,computer room and living room.Why dont ya get overyourself.Like i said everything has its place.Like your foot in your mouth.

Rainbow 6 was ported to console from pc and halo2 was a original console game however CAL which i was a head admin of a division doesnt bother with console games (unless that has changed which i didnt find proof of) I'm sure the halo2 division you speak of is the pc version of the game. Ofcourse he said exclusively console halo is defanitly not exclusivly console. The division i was a part of requiered IRC channels for each registered clan I'm sure its not the same for each but as far as i know thats not something you can do on a console. Granted there is voice control in a console but for me ventrilo there is no substatute. But ill say consoles are way easyer to setup in a living room you can install a bunch of mice and keyboards to a single computer and alot of games will let you do that but its to much pain. Though consoles would limit games to things like fighters, racing and sports games, Try playing a fps on a console? XD and RTS the controlers are to slow anyone with a keyboard mouse combo would rip you a new one in those two game types. RPG would be easy to do on a console however. For me its a easy awnser i cant stant sports games racing games and fighters. since RPG is the only one i like that would be fun to play on either consoles dont make sense at all for me. You dont need to buy a console to play any classics btw i have a nen snes emulater that allows me to play all my old favs like i said i might get a wii to play hte nintendo ones since they were the only console company that really made games i liked but i dont really lose anything by running it in a emulation environment.

I never implied games being available only on a console makes a console better. I agree with you that PC's are far superior and I'm much more of a PC fan than any console. My point is (and this is not directed specifically at you grapeape) there are positives on both platforms. Even though consoles may never be up to par with PC's especially when it comes to graphics, gameplay is by far more important than eye candy at least to me. Hey, that's why I buy the retro classics from Atari, still play the original Unreal Tournament(PC), have fond memories of Metal Gear Solid and FFVII and numerous other games.

Hell yes it does. If you have a good enough PC it will run circles around it on the outside parts plus the PC has higher res textures and more vegitation around and the addition of AF to get rid of the blur fest that plagues that of the 360

The 360's level of detail in Oblivion is no where near that of a PC with all the sliders on full and it still struggles outside in some places .

I know Rainbow 6 series is all on PC, just telling you there are a ton of clans for that on xbox.

Halo 2 Division in CAL is for the console version, theyve already completed one season (it is relatively new) They also have many other leagues that use Halo2 as a division.

I agree a bunch with you on the controls of consoles... however many of you PC players forget that in FPSs console kiddies have a little thing called auto aim and PC players dont (in almost all cases) So once people start playing console vs PC with Halo 3.... I would expect console players to do a little better (as long as the same auto aim is used ) because, if you have ever seen vids of halo 2 multilayer done by players, you will notice its always headshot after headshot after headshot.... prolly about 90% headshots... I realize this is possible on PC, but it requires more skill to do, show me a player that can do that consistently in CSS and im sure that player will be one of the best.

As for RTSs, definately. However, there is a game coming out for Xbox360 only called Halo Wars... Its being designed ground up as a console RTS so we'll see how that goes.
