While I agree that there has to be a limit on power consumtion (DX10 graphic cards are rumoured to be pretty thirsty when it comes to the ole juice) I have to admit that I'm looking forward to getting my mitts on a C2D (I'd prefer the C2Q but I seriously doudt I'll be able to afford it), there are a few things that you can do to ease power usage such as installing renewable energy (I'm thinking of wind turbines which have just go on sale in a certain DIY store here in the UK) or solar panels (yes I know they are bleedin' expensive but they can produce enough power/heated water for an entire house hold all year round and here there are government grants available to shave off as much as 50%.

In the work that I do more CPUs working on a project the better as most of the software I use will chew up as many processors that you can throw at them (mainly 3D rendering, video work, SFX, etc...). As of now I've just got to get the CPU (e6600), mobo (P5W DH) and graphics card (don't know yet probably x1900XT) to complete my new build, I'll OC the CPU and, hopefully, watch my render/encoding times drop like a rock.

Not saying you or anyone in particular, but the personal insults tend to be rather common in these forums.

Gets old quickly; can't we have a debate without calling each other names. If someone doesn't agree, making personal stabs doesn't sway them at all to your point of view. Good grief, has that ever happened to anyone at all? Maybe it is human nature to tear someone down if they don't come around to your thinking.

Again, not saying this to you, DaSickNinja, just commenting on your comment.

Awwww, someone's feelings got hurt on a FORUM! Seriously, grow up. Quite realistically, opinions and feelings is what really spreads fud, cause sometimes, uninformed people will actually have a sound piece of mind even if the person isn't correct, which is something a lot of people don't see. Get a relationship if you want to share your opinions for crying out loud, geez... I thought this was a forum. *looks around. Yep, it is.

As for the Dasickninja. Did I say there was those things in it? I did read it, AND your previous posts. Right, but your so mature arguing with him and calling his points out, and not looking at your own non sense. Now, only a fool would try to think that he's grown up and mature at any age. It's like saying there's a path to perfection. Last thing, I never said I wasn't arrogant or perfect did I? Nor do I try to portray that. Hell, as factual as I am, I know I know close to nothing. I have been known to be too blunt and realistic, did you lack the knowledge to come up with those words instead of arrogant? Surprising, since you can find fancy words like "pontificating". Do you even know what that means exactly, I'll be honest, I don't... People's lack of awareness and insight of themselves annoy me... Now that was my own opinion.

Not sure what portion of this thread you are referring to, but my feelings aren't hurt. If you go back and read, you'll see I'm just commenting on other behavior I have noticed.

So, you think it is mature to call other people names in order to try to get your point across? I guess some people may see it that way, but I do not. I see name calling and other behavior as a childish way to persuade someone. It is similar (of course, just an analogy here) to road rage where people who hit someone who does something they do not like. Does that make them right as well?

Now that makes no sense to me. You just said this was a forum and gave your own opinion, so why should my opinion be withheld? So, under that statement, everyone should stop writing on the forum and get a relationship since we are all sharing some sort of opinion. :?:

I think we all see words we have no clue about, at least I do. Enter www.m-w.com:

First of all, not you, but what you don't realize is that people come here for solid information about something. Do you like coming across just a bunch of opinions if your looking for information? Exactly. Oh, for the opinion thing, i was just giving an example, and actually that was all factual. Look up relationship while your at it too on that link you provided. Cause you obviously don't know the meaning of that one either.

Oh about the maturity thing. Well I was pointing out his mistakes. If he can dish it he should be able to take it. Thank you for pointing mines out, point taken.

I think you've read my posts in the wrong light. I was saying there are words many of us do not know. That's why I look them up. And, for the record, I'm married and have a child, so I guess I don't know what a relationship is about.

I never said you don't know what it means, I was just saying that I stated an example and I was being sarcastic cause you called it an opinion.
