I'm going to buy a new laptop, hopefully under $1200, and I need to be able to run highly detailed 3D assemblies of this 3D CAD package smoothly. My co-worker has a Gateway computer with AMD Athlon, ATi X700, and 1GB RAM, and it runs failry decently.

Now to my questions:
1) Is there a laptop that come equipped with the next step up in video card, like the x800?
2) Do I even need better than a x700? In other words, will I max out other aspects of the notebook that will effect graphic performance if I'm using a Athon Turion (ML-34) and only 1GB RAM?
