I have MS 2005 Streets and Maps on my Desktop I can transfer a "city" map to
my pda with no problems..
So when I create a route with directions and try to put on to the pda so I
can use it with the GPS receiver
Pocket Streets does not recognize the file.. According to the
documentation..limited that is, it should work..

Any Ideas anyone? Oh there is plenty of memory as I am putting all maps on
the Sd card..

The Pocket PC version does not support routes. It just supports maps and
pushpins.

Thanks Todd, but isn't is strange it does not, does that mean I have to buy
yet another program to get
a route on my pda? I see other programs do, I thought MS had the leading
programs.

The programs that "route" decently on a ppc are pretty pricy... the
current market is small, so the price of routing gps software remains
high compared to laptop routing packages.

How were you planning on getting the 4150 to display on the 7" touch screen
and getting the screen touches relayed back to the 4150?

Well according to my son, the last version of MS Streets not only had PDA
route, but voice messages for turns etc..
I will see what he has, and take my MS Streets back.. it is less expensive
to buy a Garman than a laptop.. or copy what he has for me..

I am actually building A PC for my truck, I have already received a 200w DC
to DC power supply (
http://www.mini-box.com/s.nl/sc.8/ [...] /id.301/.f ) and a low
dropout regulator & power sequencer module (
http://www.mini-box.com/s.nl/sc.8/ [...] /id.258/.f ) that I
ordered from http://www.mini-box.com , and I just ordered the monitor (
http://www.ex-audio.net/shop/produ [...] ucts_id=55 ) ... I have
some extra PC componets which will makeup the pc, AMD xp1900, MSI MoBo and
512mb Ram, and 30gb HD, ATI All in One Video Card. And by adding A bluetooth
or wireless lan to the car pc, I can interact wit hte PC and Ipaq with ease,
even away from the vehicle, plus I have a wireless network at home, so
updating the PC will be simple too...

That sounds kinda cool ! If you want to read and view what other
people have done with this, there's a Channel9 video on MSDN about
building a PC into a car that's pretty entertaining
