Rene - I live in a fair sized town that has a dozen or more computer stores,
and not one stocks cf wifi cards - so your reply is way off base - most
computer stores don't cater to Pocket PC users.

To the original poster, it depends on where you are - there are many on-line
stores that sell these units but many are overpriced. You will also see them
on eBay regularly, but educate yourself first as to which ones are best -
some have high power draw and others (older models) seem to have had
computability issues.

I am also in the market for one and would appreciate any input as to the
relative merits of different cards - such as Linksys, D-Link, Netgear,
Ambicon (sp?), Symbol, SMC, Proxim, etc . Which models are to be avoided.

Try pricewatch.com
see what your OEM sells as an add-on to get a starting point.

Gee, you missed one of the best ones, IMHO. Take a look at the Socket one.
No it's not the cheapest around, but sometimes there is a reason for that.
It is about the smallest, is very low power, good performance, good
software.

Yes, Sven,

I did miss that one, but I believe that the Symbol is an OEM and lower cost
version of the Socket. A couple of Symbols went for US$31.00 today on eBay.

Hi guys

If your email addy is anything to go by then you are in the UK. If so I have
a perfectly good wifi CF card going spare for a sensible price. If you are
interested let me know by email to deebee at email dot com(mmm)

I know the older Symbol and Socket CF cards were the same hardware, thought
the software was distinctly different. You could run either software/drivers
on either card. I don't see that the Symbol unit has been upgraded as the
Socket one has though.
