First we need to drop nuclear enegery...
fision produces to much waste hence the reason why we are building the yucca mountain complex. Just to tell you that wont be done for some time.
What we should really be intrested in is fusion energy which will produce massive quanities of energy but with dangerous substances having a half life of a few months insted of thousands of years.
next solar pannels are expensive because of there nature its very hard to produce solar pannels. What you should look at to cut costs right now is a geothermal heat pump. once you get down to about 10 feet the temp gets to arround 60 degrees, think of it as a giant water cooling system for your house.

have a good day.

Anyone else noticed that this thread is now being posted to only be people who seem to know what they're talking about?

I honestly don't know who knows what they are talking about WRT global warming. I've sat in front of "respected" experts that have differences of opinion with other experts. In general, I'd say that most of the community is in fundamental agreement. But just look at the developments in the last 25 years regarding processes where pollutants are removed from the atmosphere. The gloom and doom of the past have been replaced by solid research that has yielded results and understanding. No, I'm not saying that the future looks rosy. But I think we're a long way off from understanding weather.

It's been interesting watching how improved computational abilities coupled with improved models and larger, more accurate and specific data sets are making for real improvements. If you were watching closely, you would have seen just how accurate the predictions were about three days before Katrina made groundfall. It's no big deal to tweak the model afterwards to get the right fit, but as far as I know, no large storm system has ever been predicted as clearly as Katrina. Unfortunatelty, folks ignored the warnings and we know the rest.

The point of this ramble is that even if you could predict the progress of global warming, I doubt that any agency or institution could convince people to change. Few people are capable of seeing the writing on the wall and then doing the right thing proactively. Katrina was another clear proof of that.

Oh Cheese... shall I put you in my danish? Or shall I put you in my grilled-cheese sandwich? Either way, you're not making any sense.

Ok look, most people don't buy $10k worth of solar panels, they usually buy a few to power something like their AC or their pool heater or something. My dad and I used some to power the lights in our lawn and hey, we got a few for about $100 and they've been working for a long time with no problems. Also...

Think about it, how much money do people spend on computers and how much of a return do they get on that? Unless they game in competitions and actually win something they're not getting a return unless it's for their job.

I dont see how anyone can possibly think they are RIGHT in this discussion (for/against global warming).

Most of the world is divided in their opinions over global warming etc etc so i cant see how someone coming on this forum bragging how they know all and best is going to do anything.

Heck if presidents, prime ministers, ministers, scientists blah blah cant agree then what makes u think you are right. Can you see into the future? Wait do u know something the rest of the world doesnt know? If you do then i suggest u go tell someone more important than this.

ridiculuous.
