Do you think when the 590s come out the P5N32-SLI SE Deluxe (nforce4)'s price will go down significantly?

Not significantly because nForce 4 chipsets (including the P5N32-SLI SE) are high-end motherboard for the moment. And they will still be high-end for a good time. They might have a low in price but not much.

Hi all, i am planning to buy a Conroe system so i want to know what advantages will have the nforce 590 over the nforce 4 (ASUS P5N32-SLI SE Deluxe).

You know, Evga makes Geforce 7950GX2s, and they have the Step-Up program, where, if within 90 days of your purchase from them you'd like to upgrade your video card, you can just pay the difference between the amount you originally paid for yours and the amount of the new one. So, let's say you bought the 7950 like I did a week ago. Now let's say I enjoy the amazing graphics it gives me (providing I ever get my core 2 extreme system running, since I'm waiting for my new BIOS chip for my Asus P5W-DH, the 0401 BIOS won't POST with the Core 2s) for the time being, and the new G80s come out in October. Well, that's within 90 days, so I'll just send in my 7950 and pay them the difference. Yes, I'm counting on them to release them within 90 days, but it's still a pretty sweet deal for me. Now nVidia, get to work! haha

If it's on their site, that would seem to tell me it's shipping today. So probably will see it on the e-tailers around next wednesday. Maybe you'd even see it for preorder on monday.

There is a BIOS but no manual (at least none today).

Reading the description on that page, what do you all make of that "8-Phase Power Design" feature? Does that sound like Peltier cooling to you?

8-Phase sounds like a standard for component arangement and component power design... Sort of like how ATX is the board format layout standard.

I bet it would be good for water cooling however. The more proactive the layout, the better the cooling. I noticed the layout in the picture seems a great deal more ordered than usual...

Heh heh, I just read through the first 5 pages of this thread, seems to be lots of "when when when when??" - Exactly my question. The suspense has been killing me and I just had to skip to the last page and see if it held the answer.

Appears it did not but seems we - and I say we because I am of likemind to all of you :S - are getting closer and closer.

Hang in there all, I want this board quite badly. Want to start a build, seems like dual core is the way to go, seems like core 2 duo is the way to go, seems like intel is the winner again, and then I start hearing about this magical motherboard that has loads of features, and lots of SLI action, and lots of sweetness, and I says.... YES! SHE WILL BE MINE! But I am stuck waiting.

(And yeah, I am aware that was run-on sentence. )

Anywho, I have welcomed myself to the hunt, soon it shall hopefully bear fruit, it has been long enough.

Hmmm Physics? When will nVidia release Physics? Cuz I heard they will but never when.

Also, that board doesnt have anything related to the P5N32 SLI SE because is a different chipset.
You might consider it "the better version" of the P5N32-SLI

Thats more than the engineering samples of the RD600. If this is true, I may have to cancel my order of the Asus P5W.. hmm

I also want that board. I cant wait till its release, I plan to buy but I pray It will be bug free. I bought the 7900gt cards when they first came out and I am finally getting my replacements next wednsday. It took them forever to fix the problems with that card!

I question why a physics card would be needed when I will have 4 cpus. I could probably afford to have one of those CPUs dedicated entirely to physics. Why would I want to spend more? Thankfully I dont think game manufacturers are going to hamstring us into having to have that useless piece of hardware.
